FAQs

Will you receive an FFL transfer?

All weapons transfers must originate from a Federal Firearms License holder.

SPS will gladly assist its customers in transferring firearms to or from licensed dealers, manufactures, and importers… NOT from individuals or unlicensed companies.

The fee for providing this service is $55.00 per weapon per transfer ($100.00 for class 3 transfers).

If we receive a weapon with NO advance notice of the transfer an additional $25.00 will be charged per weapon per transfer.

A copy of the FFL holder’s license must be on file with SPS prior to the transfer.

If we DO NOT have a copy on file, a copy may be faxed to (972) 416-8532 or emailed to xfer@spsgunstx.com. This copy or attachment must include the FFL holder’s contact name and phone number. Your name, phone number AND the make, model, and serial number of the gun(s) MUST be included in any correspondence that you send.

Upon receipt of the firearm by SPS, you will be notified and will be required to come to the store to complete all necessary paperwork, including Federal Form 4473.

If you are unable to receive the firearm for any reason, including, but not limited to being denied by the NICS (National Instant Background Check System) on the Federal Form 4473, you are still responsible for all transfer fees and all expenses to ship the firearm back to the original FFL holder.

You will have thirty (30) days from the time you are notified that you cannot receive the firearm to make arrangements to ship the firearm back. If you do not make such arrangements within 30 days, the firearm becomes property of Silhouette Precisions Sports, Inc. and all monies paid by you will be forfeit.

Any exceptions to the above agreements must be made in advance and may be subject to additional fees. Such arrangments are made exclusively on a case by case basis.

SPS will not be held liable for the condition of the weapon. Any warranties are solely between the purchaser and the seller.

SPS has the right to cancel any transaction, at any time, and for any reason.

Do you give discounts to military and law enforcement?

SPS Guns appreciates the service of our men and women in uniform.  If you are currently serving in one of the armed services or are in Law Enforcement, we will give you 5% off your purchases and 10% off gunsmithing.

Do you have a layaway program?

SPS Guns 90-Day No-Hassle Layaway

$300 Minimum Purchase Required.

  • Both new and used firearms are eligible.
  • A non-refundable 20% deposit is required (personal check, bank check, or money order).
  • Sign the purchase agreement and we will secure your firearm from inventory upon receipt of funds.
  • Make as many or as few payments as you want, or one final payment on or before Day 90.
  • Items put on a layaway cannot be changed once the 20% deposit has been received.
  • If you choose to cancel or fail to pay by day 90, you forfeit your 20% deposit.

Period. No exceptions.
